America’s French Impressionist
Mr. Calcagno began his professional career in 1999, having contracted with Art-in Motion as a “published artist” with one of the world’s largest art publishers. The same year, he was accepted into the Société Arts Talence Aquitaine (Bordeaux, France).
Expositions and More
Throughout France, Mr. Calcagno studied the work of the French Impressionists and exhibited his work in many French venues. His Bordeaux connections helped him become a “jurist” in 2012, 2013, and 2014 for the prestigious art exposition, “Couleurs d’Aquitaine” in Bordeaux, France.
In September 2014, Mr. Calcagno was invited, as one of six artists from America, to expose his work at the gallery of Madam Peugeot (Peugeot automobile family) in Paris, France. The exposition, “Paris Welcomes the American Artists,” was a week-long exposition that featured seven of his Impressionist paintings.

The Director of the Monet Museum, Giverny, was among the three judges at this exposition.
Since 1999, Mr. Calcagno has participated in too many expositions to list. His mastery of the pallet knife with oil on canvas has proven successful.
